Hey there! I’m Chris, the hands-on heart behind Sutton’s Home Services. My journey really kicked off back in 2021, when I signed up as a Tasker on TaskRabbit just to have a secondary source of income. What quickly started as a side gig—assembling IKEA furniture here and there, expanded to other skills and services becoming a business.
Over the next few years, I built my reputation one job at a time:
1) Earned 300+ 5-star reviews from clients who valued my communication, precision, and care.
2) Achieved Elite-Tasker status in the Baltimore/DC-metro area due to high job volume & high customer satisfaction
3) Expanded my skill set to include modular closet systems (like IKEA PAX and ClosetMaid), TV mounting on various wall types, and project management
But after a while, I started hearing from clients about the high service fees being tacked on by platforms like TaskRabbit. While those companies deserve credit for connecting clients and contractors, charging 20–30% fees on every job just didn’t sit right with me—especially when customers thought they were paying one rate, only to get hit with surprise charges later.
So in early 2025, I decided to take a leap of faith. I left the gig platforms behind and officially launched Sutton’s Home Furnishing Service—bringing the same high-quality workmanship and personal touch directly to homeowners, without the hidden fees or middlemen.Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the web.
